Alyssa Palmquist is a Project Officer for the Division of Data, Analytics and Delivery for Impact at the World Health Organization. In this role she leads communications strategy, supports the office of the Assistant Director-General, and liaises with corporate communications to execute major launches and events. In 2023 she was elected to the WHO HQ Staff Association Committee and also serves as an Editorial Advisor for the WHO Bulletin.
Prior to her current role she interned with the Department of Country Strategy and Support at WHO Headquarters. She completed her MSc in Anthropology and Development from the London School of Economics in 2018, and holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations and a BS in Public Health from Tulane University.
She has previously worked in the non-profit and healthcare consulting sectors with international experience in Qatar, Rwanda, Cambodia and Haiti, and completed a Global Health Corps fellowship in the USA from 2016-2017.
